Blog Drafts That Never Saw the Light of Day

Hello, beauties! Life was too hectic for me that I wasnt able to follow up on my previous promise to get back to this blog. But worry no more! I just had an idea! I looked into my drafts and saw I gathered a lot of ideas through the years but didnt manage to either finish or publish them. So I'm going to share some of them here today!

Surprisingly Mean Celebrities?

I was browsing thorugh a few reddit pages when I happen to came upon this Askreddit post:

Now, this subreddit is just full of good questions but this particular one is attention-grabbing so I decided to read through it. As expected, most of the replies are the usual "I asked for an autograph and he/she declined so he/she's a bitchy shit" shit. It's hard work to actually read legit sounding experiences with mean celebrities, without all the drama of being scorned by someone famous.

To sum them all up, Demi Lovato, Julia Roberts, and Anne Hathaway are apparently mean girls in real life. Lindsay Lohan is said to be bitchy too but her weirdness is more noteworthy, so it's not really clear which is the real thing. The most surprising I read about was Micheal Jordan is the default Horrible Dick in Real Life. Oh and that Rachel Ray "is a terrible human being".

In the neutral side, Emma Watson is extremely introverted/shy and Mariah Carrey is (not surprised here) is a total diva.

On the brighter side, Adam Sandler, Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez, John Mayer, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Taylor Swift, Mila Kunis, James Franco,Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alec Baldwin, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Jeff Bridges, Dywane Johnson, Robin Williams are are ultra nice guys.

Last but not the least, Keanu Reeves is a saint.

Well, these are not my experiences or opinions, it could be a full decade before I could even meet a Hollywood celebrity in person.

So to read how various experiences formed into conclusions, read the rest of the thread here.

What I Just Learned #6

I just about this certain legend concerning an ancestor of Richard I. He is called Fulk Nerra “The Black”
He is described to be one of the most brilliant figures of French history, reigning for fifty three years. Though he was orphaned at eight, Fulk still grew up to be terrifying, at 14 he defeated the veteran fighter Conan of Rennes, by 17 he inherited his father's title of being Count of Anjou. But he is also subject to passionate moments that results in violent rage, extreme cruelty and just all around batshit crazy when the situation asks for it.

The legend I was interested in has nothing to do with wars and political intrigues though but actually pertains to he woman Fulk Nerra married or according to THIS source, his mother. It's is not surprising since legends tend to have many variations, but I'll stick with the Fulk Nerra one. I tried doing research online but surprisingly only a few related results showed up. This legend was quite known  in the past, it's obviously either black propaganda, cover-up story or a tribute to the family's legacy of being truly memorable.

Fulk went on a journey without disclosing any destination, after some time he came back with a wife. The lady named Melusine, was significantly of unearthly beauty but of an unknown origin. Plus she had no relatives or friends, and was popular as "the dark princess of the forest.". She rarely attends Mass, but if she does, she is noticeable uncomfortable, leaving quite too early as she won't witness the consecration of the Host. This peculiar behavior and strange revulsion for the Mass aroused the suspicions of the Count's men. One day, they urged Fulk to compel her to stay in church. He reluctantly agreed. When she was about to leave, her way was blocked by four of her husband's men. They seized her, but she uttered a scream, shook her cloak off her shoulder, took two of her four children under her arms and flew out of the stained glass window of the church. She was never seen nor heard of again. This woman was said have been the one to have brought demon blood through the two younger sons she left behind, into the House of Anjou and later House of Plantagenet and all the the Angevin kings of England. Thus their unofficial saying / excuse for their actions "We who come to the devil must go back to the devil"

What I Just Learned #5

98-year-old Dobri Dobrev, a man who lost his hearing in the second world war. Every day he walks 10 kilometers from his village in his homemade clothes and leather shoes to the city of Sofia, where he spends the day begging for money.

Though a well known fixture around several of the city’s churches, known for his prostrations of thanks to all donors, it was only recently discovered that he has donated every penny he has collected — over 40,000 euros — towards the restoration of decaying Bulgarian monasteries and the utility bills of orphanages, living instead off his monthly state pension of 80 euros.

What I Just Learned #4

Again, another find from Facebook:
In Japanese schools, the students don't get any exams until they reach grade four (the age of 10) Why? Because the goal for the first 3 years of schools is NOT to judge the child's knowledge or learning, but to establish good manners and to develop their character. Manners BEFORE Knowledge

What I Just Learned #2

I'm quite grateful that I've stumbled upon this blog:
I'm feel so stupid not finding this earlier. It's a treasure of amazing posts. Feel free to visit and follow it here, though the last update was last year, who knows the blogger might come back any day.
Here are just a few I truly enjoyed:

Lately I reckon that those popular chicks should be grateful of me for being unpopular.
I am the one who supports the population of good-looking chicks in the world by being ugly.
What if I turn to be hot?
The balance of the popular/unpopular collapses.
Being ugly is my duty.
This is for the world peace.

I also have got a similar experience.
One evening, coming back from work, there was a frog in front of my house.
I was amazed cos there is no field around my house and it’s in the middle of the city here.
So I brought a piece of bread for the frog from my house but it didn’t make a move at all.
I thought frogs may be predatory so I brought a sausage but it didn’t move at all as well.
I was bored so I went back home.
In the next morning, my wife was furious because of the following reason.
“There is a big crap with a piece of bread and a sausage. Someone might be making fun of us but I don’t quite understand it!”
Of course I haven’t told her the truth.
I’m planning to keep this secret till I pass away.

While I was watching porn, mum came into my room.
I got panicked and said
“What are they making!? A child!! Correct!!” in a joking way to cover up.
Then she said to me
“Sorry for making a child like you”

What I Just Learned #1

This is the first of a series of short blogposts about a cool thing I learned about in a day. This time I'd like to talk about the word "Blackmail". Apparently, the word 'mail' derives from a Scotish word for 'rent'. Many years ago people uses the following terms:
  • White Mail = Payment in the form of silver
  • Black Mail = Payment in the form of grain or meat.
And that is why, my friends, that farmers during those times paid "blackmail" to marauding gangs to protect their crops.
