Judging from all the hate Kim is receiving from the Pinoy netizens (most especially in the past few years) it's quite obvious that her reputation of being an alleged retokada is gaining ground inside the minds of Filipinos everywhere. When she tries to defend herself by confronting her bashers, she is almost always called Patola Queen seconds later. I don't pretend I'm intellectually superior to anyone, but from my perspective, these types of behavior's perfectly childish. If these haters were in her shoes, they could have done worse.
Things went a bit scary a few months ago when a few throwaway accounts started bashing her in a more severe way and this was the worse:
If this seems rather horrifying to you … it’s because it is. This person had threatened to use acid. On Kim Chiu's face. Acid. Waaaay below the belt. Now, I figured maybe I should try to defend her here. I usually have no interest in this kind of drama, but hey it's worth a try. I want to investigate on my own. So behold, let us see the changes through the years and discover whether or not these speculations of plastic surgery is possible or just mere rumors:
Either fake eyelashes plus cosmetics or circle lens. Or both. The latter is a type cosmetic contact lens that makes the eye's iris appear larger. It has become a trend in East Asian countries like Japan and South Korea and China. When Kim visited the Pinoy Big Brother House in the recent Teen edition, she spent two days in there and gave us a glimpse of her eyes during her stay, which is...they look normal actually.

Personally, I'm 99% percent sure that it's natural. There was this one time in KrisTV, where Kim pinched her nose and wiggled it around. Seems legit to my eyes, and besides her nose ain't that different from her PBB days anyway.
BoobsThis time, I'm not so sure. It may be possible that she have gotten herself breast enhancements. I noticed the difference during her My Binondo Girl days, especially since she's always wearing tank top in that drama and I could see that hers were really, er round? Wait! Where did those came from? Plus the gowns she's wearing during special events are just filled with her chest. But on the other hand, there are also ways to make boobs bigger without going under the knife. In fact you could actually find tons of tutorials most especially in the cosplay community, it's not impossible.
The one in bikini is a recent photo. Thank goodness her chest looks normal. So maybe the on in Binondo Girl is just for the sake of the show since she was also playing a male character right? What better way to show the different roles but to emphasize the physical attributes of her female counterpart, especially the chest.
So what now?
She's 90% natural for me. I'll just leave the 10% for any kind of improvement she's done with herself (I may or may not have covered in this post) in the past years. C'mon guys, it's not as if the girl's spitting out acid and sporting robotic arms and indestructible skin. People change, it's nothing special. I mean if any of you were the rich and fabulous one, I'm sure as hell that you guys would have looked different after a few years, so I have nothing against Kim.
People should stop with the bashing. I mean, it’s one thing to criticize her acting abilities, or her fashion sense, or her love life. I have no problem with that kind of shit, it's your own opinion anyway. But bullying? Calling her malandi and fake? Seriously guys it's like elementary school all over.
The unfortunate thing is everybody's jumping into the bandwagon. A contagious disease that makes everybody think that changing your look is the ultimate sin and the ultimate shame.
Have you guys ever heard of capital investment? It's the same thing with actors and actresses, it's their faces that milking out their salary, most especially in a country like Philippines where beauty is almost always the priority. If they happened to rely on going under the knife or depend on the magic of cosmetics, it's for their job because they were being paid to look pretty for the shows you watch and satisfying the standards you chose.
